About MaXi
Maxi Dunn is a singer/songwriter from Liverpool, spanning a twenty year musical history!
Starting out in bands at the mere age of eighteen and treading the boards of the Liverpool scene for eight years, until she took a break to have her family!
Ten years later in 2007 she returned to music when she recorded a couple of tribute songs for a small record label in the USA. Following that her own Christmas EP "Winter Ghost".
Maxi was in the middle of recording her debut album "Gravitational Seed" in 2008 when there was a long term relationship breakdown with her partner and subsequently after a further relationship breakdown which devastated her.
Maxi pulled herself together in January 2009 and gathered a great bunch of musicians together to record her now new "debut" album "Welcome To Soonville".
Recruiting, Peter Hackett (Cult Of Wedge), Coke Belda & Roque Esteban (Spanish power band band Cokeroque) and Paul "Tiga" Wright, they between them have created a stunningly beautiful debut album.
Welcome To Soonville was released in October 2009 and has received wonderful reviews and praise from all corners of the music industry!
Maxi is now working on her follow up album "The Neglected Gambit" of which the name is taken from an old 1960's British film, starring, Ian Carmichael, Terry Thomas and Alistair Sim!
